1-page handwritten letter from O. Henry to Gilman Hall. Letter labeled "Caldeonia" by O. Henry (the name of the hotel at which O. Henry was currently staying). Letter addressed to "Mr. Bill Hall" (Gilman Hall). O. Henry mentions how he owes Hall, but he's "coinless." He asks if Hall would give him between $20 and $100 so he can make it to Monday, and states that he'll have a finished manuscript by then. Signed "S.P." In the postscript, O. Henry apologizes for "invading" Hall's private residence because he couldn't reach Hall at his office.
