Stan Kerr discusses his life in Austin, Texas from 1970 to the present, including his experience of being a white man in an interracial marriage with an African American woman, and his involvement in Austin's African American community through attending and teaching at Huston-Tillotson University. He examines the Civil Rights Movement in Austin and his wife's family's participation in it, Austin's history of segregation, discrimination against African Americans, and the gentrification and changing demographics of east Austin.
