Deanna Deolloz discusses her beginnings in Yoakum, Texas, and her experiences visiting and living in Austin, Texas in the 1970s through the present. She explores growing up Latina in Austin, the Austin Hispanic arts scene, racism she has encountered in Yoakum and Austin, the gentrification of Austin and how it affects marginalized people, and negative relations between law enforcement and minorities.
