Description Walnut wood secretary desk rendered in an elaborate, curvilinear art nouveau style. The front of the desk has a hinged piece of wood that can be laid flat and used as a writing surface, and locked when closed. The exterior surface of the hinged piece has a carved design in the center that consists of a diamond divided into fourths, a stylized fern on either side of the diamond, and stylized reeds that are located above and below the fern designs. Above the hinged piece are two shelves--the one on top is narrower than the one on bottom. The bottom half of the desk has three drawers that each have two brass handles on either side.
