Description Cast iron hitching post. Bottom third of post is a rectangular prism and has two long rectangular holes on opposite sides. Top two-thirds of post is cylindrical and resembles a "tree trunk" hitching post in that it has four stumps that look like sawed-off branches. Hollow with no base or top piece (the top was probably broken off, as the top edge is very uneven). Two large leaf designs embossed on the front and back sides of cylindrical section.
